“Graphics 23: Loud Silence” advances the artist’s investigation of psychological duality within a mathematically defined framework. The grid, constructed through the geometric progression of 2, provides a structural environment where emotional opposites find visual articulation.The work examines the interplay between two contrasting impulses: the internal pressure to express emotion — an insistence that builds within the psyche — and the cultivated capacity for restraint, which lends order, composure, and refinement.
Rather than framing these forces as mutually exclusive, the drawing positions them as interdependent components of human identity. The figure becomes a site where intensity and discipline merge, producing a sophisticated emotional equilibrium.
